  • O2 Recycle has already saved more than 4 million devices from becoming e-waste, while helping people make a few quid and clear out their used tech. Win-win-win.

  • Absolutely. We accept devices with cracks, scratches and even major faults – though of course these will affect their trade-in value.
  • We do our best to refurbish them and give them a second or third life. If a device really can’t be reused, we’ll still make sure every valuable material is extracted and repurposed – never wasted.

  • We start by wiping all your personal data, so you can rest easy knowing everything’s secure. After that, we give devices a second and third chance by reselling them ourselves as Like New or through our partner, Likewize.
  • If a device really can’t be reused, we send it to our partner Relove Technology, who make sure every valuable material is extracted and repurposed – never wasted.

Once we get your device, we’ll check everything over. If the model or condition changes the value, we’ll email you a new offer. Not happy with it? No problem. Let us know and we’ll send your device back for free.

We accept most iPhones – including Plus, Pro and Pro Max variants going as far back as iPhone 7

We accept Samsung Galaxy S series devices as far back as the S8, and A series devices as far back as the A8 – including Flip and Fold variants. We also accept Google Pixel and Pixel Fold devices as far back as the Pixel 3.

  • Option 1: Use your own packaging, show the QR code at your local Post Office and they’ll do the rest. Or if you’d prefer, print out the free postage label in your confirmation email.
  • Option 2: Need packaging? Simply request a free kit and we’ll send it your way. Our free postage label includes insurance cover up to £150. Got a high-value device? You might want to upgrade your shipping with Royal Mail or another courier.
  • Option 3: Pop into your local O2 store to get your recycling quote, and one of our friendly team members will make sure it gets back to us.
  • However you send in your device, make sure your quote reference is clearly visible so we can process it – and your payment – quickly.

  • Back up your data, then delete it from the device
  • Remove any security, including iCloud, Google and other manufacturer locks
  • Disable PIN codes
  • Charge it up – a full battery speeds up processing when it arrives
  • Don’t include any chargers and cables for phones, tablets and watches
  • For laptops and consoles, include the essentials like controllers, docking stations and AV cables
  • Make sure everything’s packaged securely to prevent damage in the post
